On this page you will find all of our non backed wood bows. Woods, weights, lengths and styles available will constantly be changing as new product comes in or is built regularly. Mostly we will have Pecan/ Hickory, Maple and Ash. We may occasionally have Lyptus, Red Oak, White Oak, Elm, Euro. Beech, Hackberry, Elm and/or Osage.
Most of the items on our web page are made by ourselves or one of several highly skilled crafters with 10 to 25 years of experience. ALL items are made by hand, here in the USA and most right here in Texas.
Max. draw length 28" on those listed below. For longer draws or special weights (under /over what is listed per wood) please contact us to see if we can have it built for you. As this would be a custom order and the price would vary.

Made from Hickory This bow has a built up riser (grip or
handle portion) The riser is an additional piece of wood added to make the grip
larger (thicker) and easier to hold (grip) The riser may be in another wood
(e.g. Padauk, Hickory, Walnut or another piece of Oak) An arrow rest is cut into
the side of the riser. The Picture shows a bow with an arrow rest for a left
handed user and an optional tan leather wrap. Some re-enactment groups
don't allow pre-cut arrow rests, but will allow add-ons Please check before you
buy.

Made from a single piece of Hickory, in a self, stick, flat bow style. This bow has no built up or shaped riser (grip or handle portion) Hickory is stiffer than Oak, which makes it harder to pull, but it has great arrow speed.

Made from Hickory. This bow has a built up riser (grip or

The shape of this bow is more of an American style
flat bow with some rounding that is similar to Our E.L.B. crosses. The back
is flat, but the belly is semi rounded, (just
a hint really. Its hard to explain) The grip/ riser is slightly
indented to make the grip more comfortable. The tips are in a square or box
shape.

Made from Ash. This bow has a built up riser (grip or
handle portion) The riser is an additional piece of wood added to make the grip
larger (thicker) and easier to hold (grip) The riser may be in another wood
(e.g. Padauk, Red Heart, Purple Heart, Hickory, Walnut or Oak) Ash performs just
like Oak and was a commonly used wood for ELB's and arrows. The shape of this bow is more of an American style
flat bow with some rounding that is similar to Our E.L.B. crosses. The back
is flat, but the belly is semi rounded, (just
a hint really. Its hard to explain) The grip/ riser is slightly
indented to make the grip more comfortable. The tips are in a square or box
shape.

Made from Maple. This bow has a built up riser (grip or
handle portion) The riser is an additional piece of wood added to make the grip
larger (thicker) and easier to hold (grip) The riser may be in another wood
(e.g. Padauk, Red Heart, Purple Heart, Hickory, Walnut or Oak) Maple is stiffer
than Hickory, which makes it harder to pull, but unlike Hickory it doesn't
stack it just pulls HARD, but it has great arrow speed (faster than hickory
in the same weight & sinks the arrow deeper) and durability.
The shape of this bow is more of an American style
flat bow with some rounding that is similar to Our E.L.B. crosses. The back
is flat, but the belly is semi rounded, (just
a hint really. Its hard to explain) The grip/ riser is slightly
indented to make the grip more comfortable. The tips are in a square or box
